Biography circus draughtsman Laurin English

Born in 1953 in Linz Austria. He grew up with his grandparents. At school his favorite subject was drawing. He was the smallest in the class, the classmates call me Laurin, after the dwarf king from "German heroic sagas". He took over the farm from his grandparents and rebuilt the old ,outdated farmhouse, managing the cattle until 1987. Then started renovating antiques, as well as drawing in zoos, music and ballet school. 1997 I drew for the first time at Circus. This no longer lets go of me. It all started at Circus Althoff, with Louis Knie I went to Austria, Switzerland and Holland. I went with the Circus Roncalli to Germany and since 2006 I am always in the Wintertime with the Circus Medrano (Family Casartelli) in Italy. After that I stayed three months with Lipizzaner drawing in Piber in Styria Austria. I live in a small, mobile home, not having great claims and drawing every day. I dont make a rich living out of it, but I live for this "Life" .

I am anxious to grasp the situation with a minimum of strokes to expres the special characteristics of humans and animals. Drawing everything in motion (without modeling). Horses and elephants are a favorite motif of mine. At the beginning were "Cat Drawings",in motion (no modelling). For a long time working in zoos, as well as drawing of musicians and ballet dancers at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. There are better options in the circus for a quick evaluation. The daily routine is always the same, but by the change of the audience still new. I camaraderie, regardless of skin color, nationality or religion, as well as the rigorous work and the constant training of artists, inspire me and giving me lots of "Power". I work with ink, pen, brush and graphite pencil. After sorting from my drawings, very little remains, which meets my requirements and expectations. The rest is for the learning process, but very important. See myself as a tool that must constantly draw. Only Dir. Peter Baum Head of Neue Galerie and later Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz both with his lecture on contemporary art is to be mentioned.

Laurin, né en 1953. A l’école, on m’appelait Laurin (roi nain des sagas germaniques). J’ai grandi chez mes grands-parents et repris la ferme très jeune. Jusqu’en 1987, j’ai dirigé l’élevage bovin, puis restauré des antiquitéset dessiné dans des zoos et des écoles de musique ou de ballet. Dès 1997, j’ai dessiné au Cirque Louis Knie, en Autriche, Suisse et Hollande. Avec Roncalli en Allemagne et avec Medrano en Italie.

En 2008, je fus invité par le haras d’Etat Piber (en Styrie, un Land d'Autriche) pour y dessiner des lipizzans. Je travaille sur une sorte d’éventaire, avec encre de Chine, plume et pinceau, et dessine mes sujets en mouvement, sans séance de pose, parfois même marchant avec les animaux. Mon but est de saisir l’essentiel et de dévoiler l’âme humaine en un minimum de traits.

Am crescut la bunici.De la o varsta destul de tanara,am preluat ferma lor. Am lucrat la ferma pana in 1987,dupa care am inceput sa restaurez antichitati si am pictat si desenat tablouri in gradini zoologice,scoli de muzica si balet. Dupa 1997, am inceput sa pictez in circul Louis Knie,in Austria,Elvetia si Olanda.Apoi la Circul Roncalli in Germania si cu Circul Medrano prin Italia.

In 2008 am fost invitat in Austria,sa pictez herghelia de armasari Lipizzani. Lucrez cu un chevalet, cu pana si pensula,in cerneala.Pictez si desenez totul doar din miscare si nu prin model static sau portret.De asemenea pictez dupa miscarea animalelor cu putin contur,in cerneala.Incerc sa captez “sufletul” si caracterul oamenilor.

Меня зовут Лаурин. Я родился в 1953 году. В школе меня называли Лаурин(король карликов из германских преданий). Меня воспитали бабушка и дедушка. С раннего детства я помогал им по хозяйству. До 1987 года я был занят в животноводстве, затем реставрировал предметы античности, а также занимался живописью, музыкой и балетом. С 1997 года я рисую для цирка Луис Кни в Австрии, Швейцарии и Голландии. Laurin se narodil v roce 1953 v Linci v Rakousku. Ve škole byl nazýván Laurin (trpasličí král z německých pověstí o hrdinech). Vyrostl u prarodičů. Ještě velmi mlád převzal jejich statek a staral se o dobytek až do roku 1987. Poté se věnoval restaurovaní antiquit a malování v zoo, v muzické a baletní škole. Od roku 1997 maloval v cirkusu Louis Knie v Rakousku, v Itálii a v Holansku, v cirkusu Roncalli v Německu a v cirkusu Medrano v Itálii.

V roce 2008 kreslil ve státním chovu Piber ve Štýrsku lipicánské koně. Pracuje s tuší, pérem a štětcem. Kreslí vše, co je v pohybu, někdy i v běhu zároveň se zvířaty. Snaží se málo tahy vystihnout to podstatné a přitom vniknout postavám do duše.

"Laurin, születtem 1953-ban. Az iskolában neveztek el Laurinnak (a német mondabeli törpekirály után). A nagyszülõknél nevelkedtem és már elég fiatalon átvettem az otthoni gazdaságot. Egészen 1987-ig foglalkoztam a tehenészettel, azután antik tárgyak restaurálása következett és rajzoltam állatkertekben, zene és ballettiskolákban. 1997-tõl olyan cirkuszoknál kezdtem rajzolni mint a Louis Knie Cirkusz Ausztriában, Svájcban és Hollandiában, a Roncalli Cirkusz Németországban, és a Medrano Cirkusz Olaszországban.

2008-ban egy meghívást követve Piberbe mentem, hogy az ottani lipicai ménes lovait rajzoljam.Nyakba akasztható rajztáblán dolgozom tussal, tollal és ecsettel. Mindent modellt állás nélkül, mozgás közben rajzolok le, akár úgy, hogy az állatokkal együtt megyek. A lehetõ legkevesebb vonallal próbálom a lényeget kifejezni és az ember lelkébe tekinteni.
